Oral Cancer Screening

Oral cancer is the sixth deadliest cancer in the world, and there are roughly 30,000 new cases diagnosed each year. When detected and treated early, however, oral cancer is 83% curable, which is why we make screening for oral cancer an integral part of all our consultations and examinations.

We use a handheld device called a VELscope® that illuminates any abnormalities in the mouth, including cancerous and precancerous growths, that may be difficult or even impossible to spot with the naked eye. This, when paired with a traditional intra- and extra-oral head and neck exam, can help us identify problems early.

Thorough Yet Gentle Cleanings

Our excellent hygienists have been with us for over 18 years and know how to get your teeth and gums clean and healthy. They use the latest dental technologies, including ultrasonic scalers and prophy jets, to clean your mouth effectively and more comfortably than traditional dental tools can. An ultrasonic scaler uses ultrasound vibrations to remove hardened tartar from your teeth with far less discomfort than with a traditional scraping instrument, while prophy jet air polishing smoothes the surfaces of your teeth to make it harder for bacteria to take hold there.

Gentle Tooth Extractions, Including Wisdom Teeth

When a tooth needs to be extracted, our doctors do it gently, carefully and comfortably. They disinfect the area around the tooth using a laser, offer sedation to help you from feeling discomfort during the procedure and apply plasma-rich proteins to speed healing and minimize discomfort afterward.

To prevent bone loss in the jaw once the tooth is removed, we can perform a treatment known as socket preservation. This also prepares the extraction site for the potential placement of a dental implant later on.

Cosmetic Dentures

We provide exceptionally lifelike dentures that do not look like traditional, bulky, plasticky dentures. Our dentures have a much more natural look and realistic translucency to them, so much so that we call them “cosmetic dentures.”

Root Canal Therapy

Root canal is a term used to describe the natural cavity in the center of a tooth. This area contains a soft area known as the pulp chamber that houses the nerves. If it becomes irritated or infected due to cavities, trauma or decay, root canal therapy is necessary.

We provide gentle and effective root canal therapy to disinfect and save your natural teeth. The dentist will make sure the tooth is properly sedated before making an opening in the top of the tooth and using very small instruments to clean and shape the interior of your tooth for filling. The root canals are filled with a biocompatible material, and a crown or other tooth restoration will be placed on top to protect and restore the tooth to full function.

Peri-Implantitis Treatment

When dental implants are not cared for properly, you can develop a type of gum disease called peri-implantitis. The doctors use the same high-tech laser to successfully and comfortably treat peri-implantitis as they do regular gum disease.

Bone Grafting

When needed, Dr. Molzan uses bone grafting to establish a stable foundation for dental implant placement or to repair damage to the jawbone caused by gum disease. In some cases, it may even be possible for Dr. Molzan to place an implant at the same time as the bone grafting is done. He can also add plasma-rich growth factors to the site to speed healing and the regrowth of your natural tissue.
